JOB TITLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION JOB COACH/DRIVER

GENERAL DESCPRIPTION: The job of Special Education Job Coach/Driver is provide guidance and supervision to students placed on job sites by the Vocational Coordinator
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: School year only: 35 hours per week
EVALUATION: Evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the district’s Personnel Evaluation Policy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Consistent and punctual “on site” attendance at the worksite is an essential job function
- Lifts, carries and correctly positions students with physical disabilities
- Implements training programs and maintains records of student responses as directed by the teacher
- Prepares and supervises students for bus loading and unloading
- Supervises job site placement, halls, classroom activities and other assigned activities
- Completes daily evaluations of student job performance, copies, charts and graphs
- Participates in building level in-service and staffings
- Assists students during seizures and communicates appropriate information regarding nature and duration to the teacher
- May be required to provide transportation for students to job sites
- Performs other activities as assigned by teacher or principal
- Other duties as assigned
